  • What is a charter flight

Charter or non-scheduled flights are flights that made on request, so they don't have a strict schedule. Charter flights can be used only in "high season" or on individual request of the travel company. Charter flights also are used to fly to cities without regular air service. Travel agencies rent a plane from an air carrier, so they are interested that tickets sold out, even at a minimum cost. Charter flights are organized when the regular air carriers have a shortage of seats. If the passenger failed to appear at the airport for any reason, the ticket price wouldn't be returned to him.
